Rehabilitation and Injury Treatment

Many of us carry little injuries or niggles and just try and train through them, or even stop training because of them.

I can analyse your movement patterns and help you overcome your issues and move you towards better movement and training pain free.

I am currently working with clients overcoming the debilitating effects of Parkinson’s Disease, recovering from cancer and undergoing chemotherapy treatment while working in conjunction with their doctors, surgeons and other physical therapists.

I have also helped to rehabilitate several more seriously injured clients, one who tore his ACL, one who snapped his Achilles tendon.

My movement training methods bridge the gap between the initial remedial help from the physio and going back into an active environment, making sure you can move again without discomfort.

My client Tim tore his ACL:

‘I wanted to get back to playing football after my acl tear but was understandably nervous. I met Richard at the gym in my building and he said he could help as he was a movement coach. I didn’t really know what this meant but thought I’d give it a go as he was training a lot of other people at the gym. He assessed my injured knee, and then looked at how I moved, my hip and ankle and began the process of basically freeing up my hips to help protect my knee in future. After a month I had developed the ability to turn so well when playing football that at my level no one could knock the ball past me as I turned to quickly to cut them off. I couldn’t recommend Rich’s skills highly enough.’
